      Verdict

Annemasse made a very favourable impression when winning first time out and a follow up looks on the cards, Go On Green and Jack Oliver may provide most danger. Mark Johnston's gelding ran his rivals to sleep over the six furlong trip at Southwell, beating Popolo by four lengths. He wasn't stopping at the end of that event and should be well suited by the extra furlong. Go On Green finished third behind another Johnston inmate Regal Parade last time out. That was a pretty good contest and a big run is expected, but the Middleham trainer should know how he stands with the Dunlop runner. Jack Oliver proved himself a decent performer on the turf last season and did well on his only all-weather start. He is as game as they come and a big run is expected. Cherri Fosfate is another consisetnt type and may run into a place again, but our idea of the winner is Annemasse.
