      Verdict

War of The Roses comes into this in good form having won his last two starts in classified stakes races but a 9lb rise since then leaves him with more to do and a better bet looks to be Over To You Bert, with The Bonus King rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has shown improved form since the turn of the year and remains feasibly well treated so gets the vote to record his third success of the year. Apex was good value for his win at Warwick recently and remains on a fair mark but may not appreciate the drop back in distance. Sedgwick is less exposed than most of these after just four career starts but does not look to be particularly well treated. Princess Lavinia is becoming expensive to follow and of more interest may be The Bonus King, who can race off the same mark as when dead-heating at Wolverhampton last time as that was in an apprentices' race. Over To You Bert has done little wrong of late though and is taken to score again.
