      In depth

      Verdict

An intriguing contest not least because of Frankie Dettori picking up an outside ride on Salisbury third Sweet Ophelia despite the presence of the Godolphin newcomer Ihtifal. A big run is expected from the former on that evidence but she'll need one to get the better of DANK and Disposition. The latter went close behind subsequent dual winner Shabora on her debut in November and a bold bid looks likely from her but Sir Michael Stoute's filly is just preferred. She made a promising debut at Newbury in September and the half-sister to high-class pair Eagle Mountain and Sulk will appreciate today's extra furlong. Khazeena and Toppled add even more interest as both were expensive purchases as yearlings and are worth noting in the betting on their debuts.
