In depth

Verdict

The in-form Burhaan is selected ahead of Romany Nights and Divinsky, while Millfield Dream holds fair claims of at least making the frame on these terms. The last named is an old rival of the selection and, as he got no sort of run when he finished down the field at Lingfield earlier in the month, it would be dangerous to judge him on that effort alone. Jerry O'Dwyer gets on well with the Mick Quinlan-trained gelding and a bold bid would not come as a surprise. Divinsky gained an overdue success when dead-heating with tough mare Sweet Pickle at Wolverhampton three weeks ago and has to be respected from just a 2lb higher mark. He goes well here and each-way punters could do worse than nick a share of the odds that are on offer. Romany Nights has been hard to win with in recent times but still retains enough ability to be effective in this company. However, they may all meet their match now that Burhaan has got his act together and, as he is still dangerously well handicapped, the mount of Joe Fanning is fancied to land his second victory of the month today.
