Verdict

CRITERIA did well enough in her first campaign and made a fair reappearance when tackling this trip at Newbury. She cost over 500,000gns as a yearling and can start paying some of it back. Classic Devotion looked a bit one-paced at Lingfield but should have come on for the run while Vent De Force has a pedigree more suitable to her second season. Nusantara is by New Approach out of a middle distance winner so she should be suited by the trip, as should Smiling Stranger from a yard still going well.
