Verdict

Something of a quandary here as Hansomelle and Given A Choice, who are the pick at the weights, both have question marks over them so we'll side with Without Excuse. The concerns with the in-form Given A Choice, who is the highest rated horse in the race, are the trip which is on the short side for him and is one he has never won over and the inexperience of his jockey who has had just 7 rides to date. Hansomelle is the pick at the weights and hails from a yard in fair form but she has been struggling over hurdles of late and it remains to be seen what that's done for her confidence. The selection has no concerns on either score and did run well in a first time visor last time. His sole success came when he wore blinkers for the first time and he held his form fairly well after that so there's every chance that he'll do the same in a visor. A reproduction of Without Excuse's latest effort could suffice.
