Verdict

2010 St Leger hero ARCTIC COSMOS ran just the twice last season. He never figured in the Woodbine International when last seen in October and today's shorter trip is a worry but his class may see him through as he's the best horse in the race. Fair Trade wasn't far behind him on official ratings in 2010 with a third to Cityscape at Newmarket his best effort although he missed the whole of last year and steps up in trip on his first start for Hughie Morrison. Hurricane Higgins won on the Polytrack on his debut but Group races later in the year proved beyond him and he has a bit to find on his comeback, though not as much as the remainder, who are closely matched on their recent all-weather form in lesser company.
