Verdict

PINK HAT is a half-sister to the useful Tasitiocht and her dam is from the family of two champion hurdlers so she's given the nod to make a winning start. Peter Fahey's bumper horses have been in fine form and Alton Bay emphasised the point with an excellent debut behind stablemate Sunday Serenade at Killarney. Jane Mangan rode the winner that day and is on board the runner-up here so her mount must be a big threat. Back Before Dawn has done well for a four-year-old and this slightly easier ground may show him in an even better light.
