Verdict

Draycott Place won this last year and was gaining his first subsequent victory when scoring easily at Ballinrobe. He still looks well treated though Nearly Nama'd won a competitive handicap at Listowel a couple of weeks ago and a 5lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run. Gordon Elliott has three entries and MRS LOVETT has to be greatly respected after her two fine runs behind the in-form Peregrine Run, the first of them in a Grade 3 where she was beaten less than a length. That's very strong form and just gives her the edge over Supreme Vinnie, who has also been watching Peter Fahey's star disappearing over the horizon in recent starts. Punches Cross was seven lengths behind Draycott Place at Ballinrobe but that was his first start since January and he can get closer.
