Verdict

CHANGING THE RULES had been threatening to win for some time before getting off the mark at Wexford. He makes his handicap debut on the same mark as the much more experienced Pakens Rock, who overcame several mistakes to get up close home over the course and distance last month. Hamundarson also makes his handicap bow though hasn't made the expected progress from a promising chasing debut but A Mere Bagatelle was a convincing winner over the track and trip before a moderate effort when sent to Cartmel. Top Line Tommy was a very easy winner over fences at Tramore but failed to take advantage of a lenient hurdles mark at Bellewstown.
