Verdict

The handicapper may have taken a chance in not raising BORN TO EXCEL after an excellent reappearance in a big field at Cork and his young rider is fine value for his claim. David Marnane has his horses in good shape so the chances of the consistent Cool Athlete, a good third behind Appletreemagic at Dundalk a month ago, must be respected despite the fact he's still a maiden. Thistimesforgood has his opening run for Gordon Elliott which should bring about some improvement but both of Russian View's victories have come at Dundalk and he seems best on polytrack.
