In depth

Verdict

Liberty's Gift is a moderate hurdler who looked more at home over fences on his debut at Cork where he jumped well in the race won by Starkie. That winner is trained by Henry De Bromhead, who has chasing newcomer Tisamystery, a maiden hurdle winner at Cork in September, engaged here. Midnight Game never quite fulfilled his potential over hurdles after a bright start but his overall form suggests he has to be on the shortlist if taking to the bigger obstacles. Moonlight Boy, a dual bumper winner and progressive hurdler, also makes his debut over the bigger obstacles but THE CRAFTY BUTCHER looks the one to be on as he's had a run over fences and ran a tremendous race in a very tough handicap hurdle at the Punchestown Festival. Ring Ben has only looked moderate to date and has yet to win under Rules.
