Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has a tremendous record in this having won six of the last eight. He runs a trio here including the Galileo colt Crocodile Shoes, who has to be greatly respected, as do Successor and Three Star General, who should both be suited by stepping up to this trip. However, David Wachman's newcomer GALAXOR, who is also by Galileo and cost a mammoth 400,000gns as a yearling, could just be good enough to make a successful start in a race lacking quality. St Lawrence Gap has been in fine form over hurdles and won at Roscommon last month while John Murphy's horses continue in good form and both Lazio and Nelson Road should be noted now tackling the longer trip. The former was behind Sea Of Mystery when they occupied the places behind Motherland at Ballinrobe though both were well beaten.
