A very good turnout for this prize with many of the entries having been racing at a much higher level over timber and fences. They include the classy HEAD OF THE POSSE, who won a Grade 3 over fences at Galway in October and has competed exclusively at the very highest level subsequently. He should have retained his hurdling speed and can see off some strong rivals including Catch Me, who has won eight times over hurdles and ran well behind Allee Garde in a similar race to this at Gowran last month. Made In Taipan is much better known as a chaser these days but had the pace to finish a close second to the useful hurdler Stonemaster at Leopardstown in February.
