Verdict

THE PLAN MAN hasn't won as many races as expected over hurdles and pulled up in the Galway Hurdle last time but he's started out over fences with two very good second places and can make it third time lucky. Mick Thonic made a very encouraging chasing debut at Down Royal and was still in the lead when falling at the second last over this track and trip last time so he looks a major threat. Nigel Twiston-Davis wouldn't be sending Stratford runner-up Sword of The Lord here without good reason while the consistent hurdler Crocodile Dundee was in the process of making an encouraging start over fences at Wexford when coming to grief at the last.
