Verdict

A strong line-up for a fair prize and the sponsors will be delighted to see Galway Plate winner Bob Lingo lining up and the fact that he's an incredible 33lb lower over hurdles must bring him into consideration. Blazing Tempo is another who is very much better handicapped over timber and comes into the reckoning while Black Benny is in very good form and is still progressing over hurdles having won two of his five starts. Deutschland has been going well on the flat and scored on fast ground at Wexford last time though his hurdles form has been disappointing. CAPTAIN LUKE is a staying chaser in the making but has been progressing at a rate of knots over hurdles and could hardly have been more impressive at Kilbeggan so looks the one to be on with his low weight. King Ali can prove best of the remainder.
