REINE ANGEVINE started favourite on her debut at Roscommon but couldn't quicken at a crucial stage and had to settle for third. She'll be better for that and can gain her first success in a race that may not take too much winning. Awespicious wasn't fancied on his debut over hurdles at Cork and slipped up on the Flat after the fifth last while Balnagon Boy makes his debut under Rules after landing a point-to-point at Ballingarry in June. Honey Pound was well beaten on his debut at Leopardstown in January so it could be Paul Rothwell's newcomer Bottle Rattler who provides the main threat.
