In depth

Verdict

ELLA would love the rain and if it arrives, Alan Swinbank's mare, should be able to cope with it better than most. Cool Judgement was thought of as a likely cup horse earlier in his career but injuries have restricted his recent appearances on the racecourse. He should not be underestimated despite a sizeable absence. Magicalmysterytour took advantage of the handicaper's benevolence to score at Newmarket and has gone up to 90 as a consequence. Cotillion has become much more consistent of late whilst Burnett, who is from a family who are not noted as prolific winners as juveniles, can be expected to have improved for time away from the racecourse. Senate has won on a softer surface at the beginning of the season though struggled to follow up with markedly quicker conditions at Sandown.
