Verdict

Jairzihno is the interesting one but SAINT SEBASTIAN has the benefit of a run under his belt and is preferred whilst Storm Hawk may fare better in nurseries. John Best's juveniles have given notice that they may be about to hit top form but he has yet to open his two year-old account for the season and it could be worth continuing to oppose his runners. That said, this one stands out in this field on paper and it would be no surprise to see him attract strong support. Petougg and Plutocraft also need to be monitored whilst Storm Hawk has shown enough to believe that he can win races but he may need more time. Ed McMahon sent out the winner of this race two years ago and there were enough positives to be gleaned from the performance of his Captain Rio colt to believe that he can win his maiden. He raced alone and was rather green but will know more now and that may be sufficient to enable Saint Sebastian to score.
