In depth

Verdict

Magico hit winning form last time and can go in again at the expense of Kercabellec and Buffalo Bill. Trained by the in form Venetia Williams, the selection gained an overdue success over course and distance last time beating Rookery Lad by an easy five lengths. If in the same mood today he should make it back to back victories. Kercabellec finished third in that contest and does have a slight pull in the weights. It shouldn't be enough to reverse the form but he should get a bit closer. Buffalo Bill showed much improved form to chase home the prolific Jolly Boy at Windsor earlier this month, and this one holds solid each-way claims. The pick of the others could be Very Special One, but Magico won with plenty in hand last time and is expected to make it a double.
