In depth

Verdict

A very tricky selling hurdle and a tentative vote is given to Makandy, with Buz Kiri and Madam Jenkov put forward as the main dangers. The selection was very well supported last time but had to give second best to Blackthorn. He did nothing wrong in that contest and a similar effort today should suffice. Buz Kiri is a consistent type in this company and wasn't beaten far behind Rojabaa last time, another placing should be on the cards. Milton Bradley's newcomer Madam Jenkov, a modest performer on the flat, should be watched closely in the betting market in such a weak event. Pop Gun is another with place claims, but Makandy can repay his supporters this afternoon.
