In depth

Verdict

Limerick winner, Song Of Namibia failed to cope with a 9lb rise at the Curragh last time while New Direction was well beaten at the latter track, along with Total Demolition having won at Gowran earlier. Aared has struggled since winning at Naas in April when EZANAK (NAP) finished a couple of lengths behind. But the latter re-opposes on much better terms today and Dermot Welds’s unexposed colt is taken to turn the tables and come out best.
