In depth

Verdict

Paddy Neville has won this twice in the past three years so the newcomer Dakota Fire shouldn't be totally ruled out. Bramante has been in reasonable form on the Flat at Dundalk while moderate Flat performer Moby Dick made a promising start over timber in an admittedly modest maiden here last month. The hurdling debut of CLONDAW WARRIOR has been greatly anticipated and his trainer appears to have found an ideal start. He completed a bumper hat-trick under a double penalty at Cheltenham in October and should go on to much better things. Jimjim Mac Cool started favourite on his bumper debut at Gowran in October but was soon beaten.
