High Focus finished a long way last on her debut at Leopardstown in November but Kevin Manning rides her instead of the newcomer Le Cheile so better must be expected. Sherama makes a quick reappearance after a close third to Waltzing Matilda at Leopardstown where Miss Gally Rio, who goes in the opener, finished just in front. Dermot Weld is double-handed but Pat Smullen's presence on board SPARKLE FACTOR suggests she's the main hope. Her two runs last term were very promising and she may have found the ground too fast on her final start of the campaign at the Curragh behind two Ballydoyle inmates. Vintage Nouveau is a superbly-bred filly who won't be making up the numbers while Dash cost 82,000gns and is the first foal of a winning miler.
