In depth

Verdict

John Murphy has wasted no time bringing out Whatsabillion after his impressive victory at Clonmel on Thursday but that was over fences and he's on a higher mark over timber. Winning point-to-pointer Avondhu Lady was having only her third start over timber when landing a maiden at Punchestown and makes her handicap debut from a fair mark. The handicapper may have erred on the side of caution when allotting ELCANOS a 10lb rise for an impressive success at Fairyhouse but Tony Martin's charge looked the type to continue on the upgrade and he can defy the extra burden. Passing Through caught the eye when staying on from the rear over two miles at Thurles last time and is one to keep an eye on in the betting.
