Verdict

START ME UP looked ideally suited to a stamina test when beating the hat-trick seeking Our Victoria over 2m4f at Clonmel and should have things go his way enough for him to complete a double here. Carloswayback easily beat Knockfierna over the minimum trip here in November but ran poorly in the Grade 1 Royal Bond at Fairyhouse subsequently and tackles this trip for the first time. Knockfierna has since completed a double, including over 2m3f on this track, and should have no problems staying the extra. Saville Row made a successful debut over today's trip at Down Royal and, though not quite progressing as expected in a Grade 3 at Cork, he looks a real threat with the distance very much in his favour. Ballinahow Lady ploughed through very testing ground over three miles at Naas but will need to improve again in this better race.
