Verdict

Petite Jack is penalised for winning the Listed Quebec Stakes over track and trip in December. He beat Mia Tesoro by only a neck with Utmost and Intern not far behind and that group are hard to separate. The handicapper Battle Of Marathon has a tough task on these terms but Elbereth beat Fire Fighting at Dundalk on last year ‘s return to action and could go well. The much-travelled Red Label has won for Luca Cumani and Jessica Harrington and been placed in Group races in Italy for his current trainer. He could go well under Andrea Atzeni but it could pay to stick with VICTORY BOND. The Haggas' colt returned to winning ways with a four-length defeat of Battalion, rated 105, at Wolverhampton last time and Ryan Moore can steer him home in this trial before heading for the Winter Derby itself at the end of the month.
