Verdict

An intriguing Novice stakes in which narrow preference is for the unbeaten PLAYFELLOW ahead of Kentish Dream and newcomer Musleh. The last-named is a Godolphin runner who cost a paltry 400,000 dollars. His dam was useful over in the US at around this trip and he must be respected making his debut at this decent level. With several already rated in the 80s, it could be tight but Playfellow made a good impression on his debut in desperate ground at Haydock. He was easy to back but impressed with his attitude and scope for improvement and he should run well. Kentish Dream may appreciate the return to seven furlongs although he was slightly outclassed last time, whilst Spanish Cygnet is another who faces easier company today; she looks pretty useful. Comadoir is very consistent, whilst Indian Art ran well in a very competitive sales race last time and this son of Choisir must be respected. A tough heat, but Playfellow is the one.
