Verdict

Elusive Dreams, The Fifth Member and Zelos form the shortlist in the finale and the vote is given to Elusive Dreams. The selection won well last time on the turf at Salisbury when he gave the impression that he would be suited by this step-up in trip. He was well beaten on his only other try on the all-weather which is a slight worry, but on breeding it should suit and we are happy to put him forward as the pick today. The Fifth Member wasn't beaten far at Goodwood last time by Titan Triumph and although he is rising in the weights, he is clearly improving with his racing. Zelos is a course and distance winner and he put in an improved effort when only narrowly beaten by Palmetto Point last time. However, that was onyl a claimer and he has more on his plate today. Divertimenti won here last month and a reproduction of that effort would make him competitive today. But we like the claims of Elusive Dreams who is taken to get his head in front.
