Stevedore, Taranaki and Cool Sands are three against the field in this competitive handicap and the nomination is given to Taranaki. The selection has dropped to a handy mark and although he has been disappointing on turf of late he has had valid excuses and from what looks a good draw he looks the value bet in an open affair. Stevedore rates the main danger on his latest second behind Lizarazu but that was in a claimer and this looks tougher so he is passed over on this occasion. Cool Sands is another worthy of respect as he is taking a big drop in class but he will do well to win this from his outside draw. Stormy Nature is from a yard in top form and should be noted in the market but he looks to have plenty of weight for what he has actually achieved. Of the remainder, Summer Recluse disappointed last time but the booking of Ryan Moore catches the eye and he should be monitored in the market. This is a wide-open affair and stakes should be kept to a minimum but for the winner we return to Taranaki.
