    Verdict

Sparkalot was due to run at Kempton last night and Mr Tyrrell sets the standard off a mark of 79. But a couple of less exposed types are preferred as they return to action. Fastar disappointed when favourite at Goodwood last summer but had gone close before that while HORROOB has his first start since July when placed at York behind a subsequent handicap winner. But Roger Varian has started the season in fine form and his colt should go close. Milburn Jack may prove best of the rest.
