Verdict

Ginger Nut was still beaten four lengths when runner-up at Bath and Country Rose was beaten the same distance when second at the same track last month. Pass The Gin met all kinds of trouble over 6f at Chelmsford on her debut having missed the break and will need to be more quickly away dropping back in distance today. Mick Channon’s two-year-olds have been in good form so far this season and he introduces COTTONTAIL, a half-sister to the useful sprinter Neola. she gets a speculative vote to make a winning start ahead of fellow newcomers Jewel of The Sea and Obaby.
