      Verdict

A good run from Join Up in the previous race would boost confidence in BYRD IN HAND as the latter finished ahead of him when third over track and trip last time. John Bridger's charge should have come on for the outing and is taken to confirm running with Querido in the process of landing this. Ymir is capable of going close at this level but hasn't raced for over a year and Chandrayaan is preferred on his latest second over 7f here with Fault behind. Emerald Royal continues to run well but is still 5lb higher than his victory at Kempton in February and looks set to find at least one too good again.
