    Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute's ALMUKTAHEM is put forward to notch up his first success at the main expense of Shakalaka and Mayolynn. The selection has looked progressive since debuting back in May and his latest effort, when finishing runner-up in a Beverley maiden, was his best to date. The three-year-old continues to progress and he looks capable of losing his maiden tag here. Shakalaka was an unlucky second when last seen, putting in his best performance to date. He tends to stay on well and although we expect the selection to edge it, we expect the gelding to apply the most pressure. Mayolynn progressed from her first start to finish third at Kempton last time and is respected along with Mark Johnston's debutant, Emiratesdotcom, who is beautifully bred being by Pivotal out of Teggiano.
