Verdict

PRINCESS HANNAH can land this on her handicap debut with a good draw to boot; the main dangers to Richard Hannon's filly could well emerge to be Strike Command and Marbled Cat while Piste is a handicap debutant who is also of some interest. Princess Hannah showed a very likable attitude at Salisbury when breaking her maiden tag, beating a very smart filly in Cavera who boosted the form when finishing fourth in a hugely competitive sales race at Doncaster last week. The slight worry is the rather sharp nature of this venue as she did look to relish the stiff uphill finish at Salisbury. Strike Command set out to make all on his last start and being US bred it could well be that the artificial surface brought about the improved performance. Marbled Cat was strongly supported to break his maiden tag on his last start around this venue but he might be more effective over further. Piste raced very keenly at Newbury and if she can relax mid-race she should do better. She is a second foal and a half-sister to Alfathaa who was a precious juvenile last season but ultimately flattered to deceive this season. Cool Art contested a much better nursery to this on his last start and could go well as he possess a touch of class but Princess Hannah is taken to overcome the outside draw and land this nursery.
