In depth

Verdict

NATIVE APPEAL won at Kempton before finding a previous winner too good at Newcastle last week. This looks easier and Charlie Appleby’s colt is taken to defy a penalty on this occasion. Shakour failed to show any progress on his latest start when third at Chelmsford but Roundabout Kitten finished a lot closer when fourth at Wolverhampton last time. The remainder with experience are harder to fancy but the newcomer Cross Swords is a half-brother to a winner on the all-weather and worth a second glance.
