Verdict

FUWAIRT was a bitter disappointment in a Novice Stakes at Chepstow recently but the Windsor Castle eighth is surely better than a nursery performer and he can defy the steadier of a big weight. Lightning Stride also takes a step down in grade having been outclassed in the July Stakes at Newmarket. Brian Meehan keeps the son of Equiano to six furlongs despite having enough speed to win over five. Latch Onto Blue made all to win a maiden at Ayr and will be in receipt of weight from the aforementioned colts. Olly Stevens has already saddled a juvenile winner on Lingfield's Polytrack and he'll be hoping that The Paco Kid can register a first success for him on Turf. Zebs Lad has received the ire of the handicapper for his victory at Warwick and Ron Harris' colt has shot up 9lb for a narrow success.
