Verdict

It will be no surprise if Black Pond finds the necessary improvement to get off the mark here. He's gone close on both starts at Wolverhampton so far but WHISTLE ON BY has the better form. He went close himself at Kempton in November but caught the eye staying on well for fourth-place over 7f at Deauville earlier this month and today's longer trip will suit. Kentish looks to have place claims but the newcomers Friday Night Lad and Prime Mover may need further to show their best.
