        Verdict

        SCAMPERDALE has thrown in the odd bad race before and that was the case last time when he never looked like threatening over 1m2f at Kempton. However, his earlier win over C&D is by far the best form on show and if Brian Baugh's charge can reproduce that running then he's the one to beat. Beaubrav had Realisation behind when runner-up here on his latest start but more is needed in this company, while Sherman McCoy will have come on for his reappearance and can figure. Bowdler's Magic is a winner on Polytrack but may need a longer trip nowadays.
