Verdict

Christmas Coming boasts the highest official rating but may need the outing on his first run since last May. New Den advertised his lack of pace once again when a well beaten second to Zafranagar last week. He finished a length in front of Wild Geese on that occasion and the latter's habit of running in snatches is off-putting. With doubts surrounding the principals, a chance is taken on PERLE D'AMOUR. She should improve for the longer trip after travelling well for a long way over 1m2f here on her recent reappearance so Martin Bosley's filly gets the nod.
