PEPITE ROSE won on bottomless ground at Folkestone in November so won't be inconvenienced by the heavy going here. She was far from disgraced when third on quicker ground at Huntingdon earlier this month and didn't shape badly when third at Fontwell yesterday where she didn't appear to get home as well as the principals. Empress Orchid made all to land an ordinary maiden hurdle at Newcastle 10 days ago and is a consistent sort. She makes more appeal than Hexham winner Diamond MM but French bumper winner Saoma could be interesting, though it's a worry she's been off the track since making her hurdling debut at Warwick more than a year ago.
