A trappy affair and King After is selected in favour of Dawson Creek and Convallaria. King After has had a few names called about him in the past as he isn't the strongest of finishers but he does like it here and at minimum stakes, he looks the percentage call. Convallaria has to be respected from the Geoff Wragg stable. A win would do wonders for her potential paddock value. Dawson Creek won a poor race in emphatic fashion last December. This is a tougher affair on paper but won't take too much improvement to win it. Monashee Brave is capable on his day but it seldom is and his better performances appear reserved for claimers. Napoletano has the obvious draw of Jamie Spencer in the saddle this afternoon. White Bear has been woefully out of form but should not be dismissed if there is any sign of confidence in the market. Not a race that will live long in the collective memory and we prefer the claims of King After on this occasion.
