        Verdict

        Bee Stinger, Claret and Amber and Denbera Dancer look the trio to concentrate upon and we are with Bee Stinger. The selection has found winning difficult but connections are right to pursue a tilt under a penalty as the handicapper is likely to have more than a say in his future direction. Claret And Amber ran a fair third to the progressive Scamperdale. Richard Fahey's team are hardly in great form but that was a fair effort under the circumstances and a bold display can be anticipated. Denbera Dancer has been expensive to follow and backers may be reluctant to offer any further chances. He could be capable although his greenness has been very evident. Australia Day hasnt ran too badly over hurdles and is back on the level this afternoon. Smokin Joe often needs luck in running but he is perfectly genuine while not been a frequent winner. Teasing has been found wanting in this grade previously and might need a little respite from the handicapper. Bee Stinger will struggle in future handicaps so we can expect a big run from him under his modest penalty.
