In depth

Verdict

Melanna looked well handicapped at Galway after her Curragh victory and so it proved with a comfortable success though she's now 7lb higher. Sretaw has only won over a mile and has been racing over much longer trips while Abraham has no form on the ground. Zafayan would probably win this at his best but hadn't been running well this season until a better effort at Killarney last month so he has to be respected in a moderate handicap. Daredevil Day has no form over the trip but REPEATER looks to have a fine chance. He's not the most consistent of performers but was in good form on soft ground in the spring and won a premier handicap at the Curragh. He's been racing in much better company than this and can get back to winning ways.
