Verdict

Just four line up for the penultimate event on the card, and Cromwell is the pick to cheer up the locals, ahead of Atomic Breeze. Michael Chapman always has a strong following at the Lincolnshire venue, and will fancy the chances of Cromwell adding to an already impressive course record of seven victories. In fact the only other track he has won at is Catterick and it is safe to assume that he is the one to beat today off what is a lenient mark. He helped to set a decent pace at Sedgefield last time, and although winnerless for over two years, is a different horse round here. Atomic Breeze gained his first ever win at Carlisle in April when his stamina came into play but has been disappointing since then. Blazing Batman is a similar sort who has gone off the boil of late, and in a race that will not take much winning, Cromwell can gain another course win.
