Sharp Response was due to run at Sedgefield yesterday but stable companion Mwaleshi is worth considering having just been touched off over a longer trip here last month. Eminent Poet was also in action over further last time, winning at Plumpton. That was a conditionals’ race so he escapes a penalty but hadn’t impressed in a couple of previous starts around here. The longer distance is a concern for Leicester second Ozzy Thomas while Compadre also steps up and hasn’t been getting home in his races. Vancouver could be interesting if back on song and likewise Mr Fickle but AWESOME ROSIE could be another for the in-form King team if she improves just a little on her second at Doncaster - softer going will not be a problem.
