Verdict

All four of the runners, Papua, Golly, Atum Re and Polish Pilot have got chances in a very open race, but we will take a chance on the latter. Polish Pilot is a course and distance winner and ran well in a good race behind Nigara last time out at Towcester. The selection will appreciate the step up in trip and looks to be the one to beat. Papua is an obvious danger and he was a good winner at Uttoxeter last time. He beat Althrey Ruler on that day and came away from his rivals in good style. Golly was also a good winner, on this track last time out when beating Durham Dandy, and although he ran a bit free on that day, he jumped really well and looked a progressive sort. Attum Re is the other runner and he fell last time out, but would have chances on his previous run behind Jaboune on this track. This is an open and competitive race, and none of the four runners can be dismissed, but the narrow preference is for Polish Pilot.
