Verdict

Zamparelli came good in first-time cheekpieces at Stratford and is clearly going to make a better chaser than hurdler but does have to contend with an 11lb hike in the weights. Lord Bryan has won his last two but on softer going than he’ll encounter today. SONG SAA probably needed her run at Perth last month. She’d been a model of consistency previously and the handicapper is finally showing her some leniency. Monbeg Charmer has been pulled up the last twice but in better company and makes more appeal than Compadre.
