Verdict

Not much evidence to go on; so HANNOUR is only a tentative selection. Sansil and Destiny's Dancer are others to bear in mind, while Gulf Punch gave Peter Toole a steady conveyance on his hurdles debut at Bangor but might be capable of better. The last named does need to post a much improved effort today, though. Destiny's Dancer was modest on the level (he won off a rating of 47 earlier this year) but did string together a series of consistent performances. He embarks on the jumping phase of his career at a realistic level so is worth bearing in mind if the betting vibes are positive beforehand. Sansil has the benefit of previous experience and may have learnt plenty from his introduction to timber when second at Hexham 20 days ago. Admittedly that was a weak contest so he does need to step things up a few notches this afternoon. With a cross for stamina and speed, Hannour has a likeable pedigree that wouldn't be out of place at some of Flat racing's bigger stages during the summer season. Evan Williams is a trainer that seems to excel during this period and, assuming he can jump; Hannour would appear to be a name to note as a potential live-wire from the Welshman's yard.
