In depth

Verdict

Dad's Elect and Dere Lyn have both shown respectable form recently and have claims but this should be little more than a match between Blu Teen and Crathorne, with preference for the former of the two. The selection lacks a recent run but showed progressive form last term, winning his last two starts over fences at Chepstow and Fakenham and he has solid claims of winning again. Nigel Twiston-Davies has his string in good form but his runner Prestbury Knight would need to improve on all known starts, while Tycoon Hall has disappointed in both starts this term. Crathorne is capable of decent form and should be spot on for this after a recent run on the level but Blu Teen has solid claims and he gets the vote.
